How amazing that God not only created and counts each star that exists, but that He calls them each by name. (Psalm 147:4 ). Just as each star is significant to God, each of His children are significant to Him. He knew you before you entered into your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He is well acquainted with you and all of your ways (Psalm 139:3). There are billions of people on earth, yet, God does not overlook you and calls you His very own. He calls you His child, the apple of His eye and His most valuable treasure. There are not enough words to accurately describe all of God’s thoughts toward you, because His thoughts towards you are constant, unlimited and more than the sum of all the sand (Psalm 139:17-18).
It was His great joy and decision to purposely create you, and calls you His delight. Just like all of creation began in the mind and thought of God, that is where you began. From the very beginning of creation, and before you were born, He was mindful of you. You are a God thought and desire manifested! As His desire, He spoke you into existence just as He spoke the entirety of creation, and then said very good!
God knew your name before your parents knew, and where and when you would be born. Every detail, the color of your hair, your personality, and all of your unique qualities were created on purpose. He deposited specific characteristics that reflect His very likeness and image. As a child of God, you shine brighter than the brightest star, and radiate the glory of His presence in your life.
You are not “only” a person, but an intentional heart’s desire of God. You are His idea, He named you and welcomed you into His family, just as loving parents welcome their newborn child. Ephesians 3:14-15 reads, “For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and earth derives its name.” You have received your heavenly Fathers name and are a part of His family. Your Father God wrote, both, His and your names on your birth certificate.
